9 Fitur di iPhone 4
1. Desain
Desain iPhone 4 jelas berbeda dibandingkan generasi sebelumnya. Selain lebih tipis (kini 9.3mm), iPhone 4 menggunakan panel kaca di bagian depan dan belakangnya.
Dari sisi desain bagian dalamnya, Apple merancang antena yang mengitari seluruh tubuh ponsel tersebut. Itulah mengapa pada bagian tertentu iPhone 4 terlihat semacam celah yang tampak di luar kebiasaan Apple menghadirkan produk mulus.
2. Retina Display
Layar iPhone 4 mendapatkan peningkatan cukup drastis. Dari sisi resolusi, layar itu sekarang menampilkan 960x640 pixel, sedangkan kepadatannya mencapai 326 pixel per inchi.
Ditambah teknologi layar IPS dengan rasio kontras 800:1, gambar yang dihasilkan pada layar 3.5 inchi itu diklaim menjadi sangat jernih. Apple menyebut teknologi ini Retina Display.
3. Prosesor A4
Apple memastikan bahwa prosesor yang digunakan adalah A4, sama seperti yang digunakan pada iPad. Jobs pun mengatakan, pihaknya mampu memperbesar ukuran baterai pada iPhone 4 karena menggunakan micro-SIM.
"Karena kami berhasil membuat baterai yang lebih besar, dan karena A4 itu benar-benar bagus, kami telah meningkatkan usia baterainya. 7 jam bicara pada jalur 3G, 6 jam browsing 3G, 10 jam browsing WiFi, 10 jam video, 40 jam musik, 300 jam standby," tutur Jobs.
4. Gyroscope
Jika selama ini iPhone 3GS dan generasi sebelumnya 'sekadar' menggunakan akselerometer, Apple menambahkan sensor giroskop pada iPhone 4. Ini artinya, iPhone 4 akan bisa mendeteksi 3 sumbu gerakan.
Ditambah dengan akselerometer, iPhone 4 menurut Jobs akan bisa mendeteksi 6 sumbu gerakan. Hal ini diperkirakan akan melahirkan banyak jenis game baru pada iPhone 4.
5. Sistem Kamera
Kamera pada iPhone 4 ada dua buah. Satu di depan dan satu di belakang, dengan kamera di belakang memiliki tambahan lampu kilat LED.
Kamera dengan resolusi 5 megapixel itu juga memiliki kemampuan zoom digital 5x dan backside illumination untuk memperbaiki sensornya. Untuk video, kamera itu bisa menangkap hingga 720p pada 30 fps.
Seakan belum cukup juga, Apple pun mengumumkan keberadaan aplikasi iMovie untuk iPhone. Aplikasi edit video itu akan tersedia seharga USD 4.99 dengan fitur yang cukup lengkap, termasuk edit video pada kualitas 720p.
6. Sistem Operasi
Sistem operasi pada iPhone, iPod Touch dan iPad kini akan dinamai iOS. Sedangkan versi terbarunya adalah iOS 4 yang akan segera didistribusikan oleh Apple.
Tak banyak hal baru pada iOS 4 dibandingkan pengumuman Apple sebelumnya. Satu hal yang cukup menarik, mesin cari Bing kini jadi satu pilihan bagi Safari di samping Google dan Yahoo!.

7. iBooks
Fitur andalan nomor tujuh adalah ketersediaan aplikasi iBooks untuk iPhone dan juga iPod Touch. Nantinya, buku yang telah dibeli di satu perangkat, misalnya di iPad, juga bisa disinkronkan ke perangkat lainnya tanpa biaya tambahan.
8. Iklan di iPhone
Fitur kedelapan juga tidak terlalu mengejutkan, ini adalah sebuah sistem iklan interaktif bernama iAds. Apple mengklaim beberapa pengiklan yang sudah siap hadir di platform tersebut, dengan nilai komitmen total mencapai USD 60 juta.
9. Video Chat
Kebiasaan Jobs dalam keynote-nya adalah menyampaikan 'satu hal lagi'. Kali ini, fitur yang muncul belakangan itu adalah aplikasi bernama FaceTime.
Aplikasi ini memanfaatkan kedua kamera iPhone 4 untuk melakukan perbincangan lewat video. Video chat bisa dilakukan antar iPhone 4 yang sama-sama tersambung ke internet lewat Wifi (tentunya, tak harus di satu area WiFi).
